Hi all: Thanks again for the recs on the surveys. I've registered for some, and taken some surveys -- We'll see how it goes, but I'm not really optimistic that it'll yield much of an income stream.
A suggestion someone made to my earlier post was to stretch the dollars we currently have coming in, and I'm pretty good about doing that. We eat at home, buy thrift store clothes and Craig's List furniture, and we sell stuff on Craig's List -- so we're doing what we can...
Doesn't it drive you nuts, though, when you see what's going out to pay debt -- and you think: "Oh, I could invest that money into my family's future, rather than squandering it on a Visa payment!" Oh well, we're moving in the right direction
Sometimes it's tough when the progress doesn't come as quickly as you'd like, tough. Oh well. Hang in there, everyone! Hope everyone has some fun weekend plans!
We'll see...

JanH: Yes, I know what you are talking about! In my case, I was really foolish about spending on a business that I started a few years ago -- in addition to pouring a lot of money from my REAL job into the business (which was a bad business idea anyway), I also used credit cards a LOT! I also bought into the LA lifestyle -- spending money at Beverly Hills boutiques and all that crap. I've scaled it WAY back, and now LOVE Target and thrift stores. I am much happier now, with the new "downsized" lifestyle.
Fern: Where do you live? Craig's List works really well in big cities, not as well in smaller towns. LA Craig's List is incredibly busy, and has been a real blessing for my family. I agree with you about the shipping: I wouldn't do that. But if I don't have luck selling an item on Craig's List, then I turn to eBay, but only as a last resort. I've had some luck on eBay, but I prefer Craig's List.
